Swimming Pool Rules & Hours
1. Members of San Pedro Elks Lodge#966, their spouses, dependent children and grandchildren age 20 or younger will be permitted free use of the swimming pool facilities. Children 14 years of age or younger are required to be accompanied by a member parent, grandparent or adult guardian at all times. No Exceptions.
2. Guests of members, members of other Lodges, and their immediate families are welcome to enjoy use of the swimming pool between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily. These individuals will be charged a “Guest” fee.
3. The swimming pool will be closed during Lodge meetings, for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, for special Lodge events and Christmas Day.
4. Pool Schedule: The swimming pool is open all year long from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The pool is reserved each day from 8:15-10:00 a.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. for lap swimmers except it is closed at 6:00 p.m. on meeting nights.
5. All persons using the swimming pool are required to present proof of membership or pay appropriate guest fee to either Front Desk attendant or Pool Attendant before entering pool area.
6. Member’s children or grandchildren under the age of 21 are permitted one guest per visit.
7. Member’s dependent children or grandchildren aged from 15 to 20 years are permitted free use of the swimming pool without accompaniment of parent or guardian. These individuals must present a “Pool” card to gain access to the swimming pool. These Pool Cards are available at the Membership Office from 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. on Mondays and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday. MEMBER OR SPOUSE MUST PICK UP “POOL” CARD IN PERSON. PROOF OF IDENTITY AND AGE OF CHILDREN IS REQUIRED BEFORE POOL CARD WILL BE ISSUED.
8. Parents, grandparents or guardians are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children at all times while using the swimming pool.
9. A ratio of 1 adult to 4 children under the age of 15 is the maximum permitted without prior approval of Club Management. Large groups of children or adult guests are not permitted.
10. ALL PERSONS USING SWIMMING POOL DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK. BPOE #966 pool attendants are not lifeguards. Persons unable to swim must remain in shallow end of pool and wear a safety flotation device (not supplied by the Lodge.)
11. Bobby pins and hair clips must be removed before entering the water.
12. All children under the age of twelve years are required to evacuate the pool for ten minutes every hour on the hour.
Swimming Pool Rules Of Conduct
1. Use of the BPOE #966 swimming pool is a privilege. Failure to comply with the rules of conduct will result in suspension or revocation of this privilege.
2. No “outside” food or beverages are permitted
3. No running or boisterous play on ramps to bathrooms, in the Club, in the swimming pool or on pool deck areas is permitted.
4. Persons not properly attired will be denied use of swimming pool. No “cut-offs” or shorts allowed in the water.
5. No babies with diapers are allowed in the pool.
6. No profanity or obscene language, oral or written, nor obscene behavior is permitted.
7. No drinks in glass containers or straws allowed in swimming pool area.
8. No balls or other objects to be thrown on pool deck area or in the water.
9. No animals other than “disabled companion” dogs are permitted in swimming pool area.
10. Proper attire is required in the Lodge at all times i.e.: no tank tops, no swim gear and no flip flops.
11. No audible playing of radios or other devices is permitted in pool area. Personal devices with headphones or earphones are permitted.
