...where fun and camaraderie reign!
On behalf of all Retired Elks Officers, I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy Holiday and Prosperous New Year. We all hope you  continue to support the Retired Elks in the coming year.

At our last meeting, we had a presentation by the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Harbor Department, Geraldine Knatz. I'm sorry I could not be with you to hear her talk on the issues of the Port of Los Angeles.

During December, we will have our Retired Elks Traditional Christmas Party - paid up members only, no guests. We will not have a speaker or entertainment. Please bring a small gift to share with other members in our year-end Raffle. Again, we are requesting that you wonderful people bring Home-Made Cookies. Please contact Mary Falcone (310-833-0659) and Ann King (310-832-5734) who are coordinating this task. Thanks, Ladies.

Another thing for all of us is to think about in 2008 is the trips our capable Travel Agents are planning for the coming year. Please contact them for details on future trips. So make your plans early.

Finally, let's thank our Program Chairman, Vito Giacalone, who will take a little rest in the coming year. He has provided the Retired Elks so many exciting programs as well as good humor. Thanks Vito.

The special menu prepared for this month will be Prime Rib with Baked Potato or fresh Fish of the Day. We'll also provide wine on each table.
