Final Italian Night Report
My Brother and Sister Elks: The All-American Italian Night on Columbus Day was a smashing success because of the hard work of a great Committee, great Members, our Lodge Officers, and 25 local merchants who donated $2,100.00 of food and prizes.
Thanks all of you from the bottom of my heart. Our Manager, Suzan Neufeld and her staff, and Gino Cutri (Raffaello?s) and his staff are to be commended for great food and professionalism. Our Entertainers, Frank Sogliuzzo and Ron Serrato, also did a superb
job. We served 402 members and guests, with total ticket sales of $11,055.00; along with additional income from the raffles and both bars, we had a net profit of $5,388.00, exceeding our original goal. Because so much of the food and other items were donated by local merchants, more money was raised for our designated Charities: the California-Hawaii Elks Major Project, the Elks National Foundation, and the San Pedro Elks Building fund; as approved on the floor of the Lodge, each will receive a check for $1,796.00 in
the name of our Honorees Bill and Carol Muro.
We are looking forward for a bigger event next year, honoring another great couple. We expect to pack both dining rooms with 500 people. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our Members and guests and to the supporters of our event.
Fraternally, Tony (DG) De Girolamo
